An attorney and entrepreneur with multiple decades of experience guiding companies in heavily regulated industries, Andrejs acts as chief legal officer, senior advisor and board member for a variety of enterprises and investors, with an emphasis on the cannabis industry and high tech. Since 2013, his focus has been on supporting transactions, licensing support, business development and providing overall guidance in the complex and evolving cannabis industry.

He is either counsel, board member or advisory board advisor for cannabis enterprises or investors in Arizona, California, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Michigan, Canada and Mexico.

With a deep understanding of cannabis regulation and operations nationally, he has been tapped by numerous state agencies and private enterprises to handle and assist with solutions relating to complex requirements and projects involving commercial cannabis. Of note, Andrejs spearheaded a 2016 study, “Arizona Department of Health Services Comprehensive Analysis of Current Management and Operations of the Arizona Medical Marijuana Program” on behalf of the Arizona Department of Health Services, which compared Arizona’s medical cannabis program with similar programs around the country.

He is president and founder of Endurance Strategies Group LLC, a national, strategic business advisory firm that focuses on corporate regulatory and procurement strategies. The firm specifically advises emerging clients in the $5M to $100M range throughout the U.S. and internationally.

Formerly a general counsel and corporate secretary for two publicly traded multi-nationals, as well vice president of government affairs and leader of marketing and public communications teams, he is a proven results catalyst.

Previously, he was General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and VP Government Affairs for Redflex Traffic Systems, Inc., at the time world leader in traffic camera enforcement systems (ASX:RDF). He also sat on the Board of Redflex’s Canadian Subsidiary.

Prior to his time at Redflex, he was General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and VP Government Affairs for GameTech International Inc., at the time the leading provider of electronic bingo systems in North America. While at GameTech, Andrejs guided the company through its successful listing on the NASDAQ as well as through a series of high-profile acquisitions. He also sat on the Board of GameTech’s Canadian Subsidiary.

Andy earned a Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law in California, and a Bachelor of Arts from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. An active member of the California State Bar, he has served on the boards of several nonprofits and professional associations including the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and the Arizona Manufacturer’s Council.
